Course Description
Intro to AP World History I is an advanced history course that looks to introduce students to essential world history knowledge, while also enhancing their historical thinking skills and preparing them for the AP World History class or future AP classes. During the school year, students are going to be learning about topics ranging from the rise of early man and civilizations to the fall of the Roman Republic and flourishing of the Renaissance in Europe. Additionally, writing is going to be a key component of this class. Students will learn how to write the AP Comparison Essay as well as the Document Based Question Essay. Finally, students will be focusing on primary source analysis, synthesis, contextualization, and discovery.
